SUMus, in collaboration with music festival Venezia Suona, is organizing a special event dedicated to music and the plant world: a plant concert, on June 20th at 6:30 pm in the Ex Umberto I Park in Venice..

With this concert of plants, we wish to create a space for listening and connection between human beings and nature. At a time when our relationship with the environment demands new forms of attention and awareness, this event invites us to rediscover the plant world not as a mere silent backdrop, but as a living, sensitive, and interactive presence.

Through the encounter between art and technology, the concert offers an immersive experience capable of stimulating a new imagination of life, opening a poetic and sensory dialogue with the plants and ecosystems that surround us.

The Plants Play Orchestra is the world's first orchestra composed of plants and trees that generate live music using biofeedback technology developed by Edoardo Taori.

Thanks to innovative technology that transforms plants' electrical signals into music, this immersive experience reveals the sensitive and vital dimension of the plant world. Every interaction, variation in light, or human presence influences the sounds produced, creating organic, spontaneous, and always unique compositions.

Thanks to the Plants Play device, two sensors placed on the leaves or stem of the plant detect its micro-electrical fluctuations. These signals are then translated into musical notes in real time, generating a unique and unrepeatable composition.

In this system , the plant is the composer; the application is the interpreter; the human being is the conductor.
