Our house

SUMus' home in Venice is a former foundry that has been disused for over 20 years, acquired in 2021. The address is Castello 5063B, Calle S. Lorenzo, Venezia , which is very close to Campo San Lorenzo and Ocean Space in the Castello district, central and popular district of Venice, between the Doge's Palace and the Biennale gardens. In red bricks, having kept the charm of its beams, bathed in sunlight, it deploys its 300 m2 on two L-shaped spaces, one with an upper floor.

After having been a forge of tools and material objects, SUMus now proposes to forge ideas and futuristic projects there, hence its name “the Forge of the future” .

It is a "third place" open to all Venetian and foreign volunteers who wish to take their destiny into their own hands and co-create together a new way of life that is healthier, more benevolent, more inclusive, more joyful and more harmonious!

Like SUMus, this place is resolutely apolitical, ecumenical, committed to the service of the Living, the awakening of consciousness, the emergence of a new economy with a positive, sustainable and inclusive impact...

As a " think tank " we welcome inspiring visionaries, discussion circles around avant-garde themes such as bio-mimicry, integrative medicine, living food, the memory of water and many others... he aim is to give the inhabitants of the Venetian archipelago a head start by making them aware of the weak signals which may become the strong currents of tomorrow.

As a " do tank ", the Forge of the Future welcomes innovative project leaders in order to promote the creation of collectives to stimulate cooperation and synergies between committed local actors.

It is therefore a place for meetings, exchanges and discussions which also seeks to create a balance between Venetians and foreigners, between visionaries and entrepreneurs, between tradition and modernity!

At the time of biennials , we also host events or exhibitions that use art as a universal language in the service of the new respectful ideal of life.

1st renovation of the Forge du Futur completed – December 2022 to April 2023

The first stage of renovation of the forge of the future took place from November 2022 to the end of April 2023, it focused on the ground floor of the building. The floor, electricity and amenities have been redone.  

The renovation was done respecting the history and the charm of the place, preserving the original materials and in a sustainable way.

2nd renovation of the Forge of the Future to come – December 2023 to April 2024

The roof, heating and air conditioning system will undergo a second renovation which will take place from December 2023 to April 2024, respecting the best energy standards.
