Our home

SUMus's Venice home is a former foundry, abandoned for over 20 years, acquired in 2021. The address is Castello 5063B, Calle S. Lorenzo, Venezia , located near Campo San Lorenzo and Ocean Space in the Castello district, a central and vibrant area of ​​Venice, between the Doge's Palace and the Biennale Gardens. Built of red brick, retaining the charm of its beams, and bathed in sunlight, it offers 300 square meters of space spread across two L-shaped areas, one of which has an upper floor.

Having been a forge of tools and material objects, SUMus now proposes to forge ideas and futuristic projects there, hence its name "the Forge of the Future" .

This is a "third place" open to all Venetian and foreign volunteers who wish to take their destiny into their own hands and co-create together a new way of life that is healthier, more caring, more inclusive, more joyful and more harmonious!

Like SUMus, this place is resolutely apolitical, ecumenical, committed to serving Life, raising awareness, and fostering the emergence of a new economy with a positive, sustainable, and inclusive impact…

As a think tank , we host inspiring visionaries and discussion groups around cutting-edge themes such as biomimicry, integrative medicine, raw food, water memory, and many others. Our goal is to give the inhabitants of the Venetian archipelago a head start by raising their awareness of the weak signals that can become the powerful currents of tomorrow. As a

do tank , the Forge of the Future welcomes innovative project leaders to foster the creation of collectives that stimulate cooperation and synergies among committed local stakeholders.

It is therefore a place for meetings, exchanges, and discussions that also seeks to create a balance between Venetians and foreigners, between visionaries and entrepreneurs, between tradition and modernity!

During the biennials , we also host events and exhibitions that use art as a universal language in service of the new ideal that respects life.

First renovation of the Forge of the Future completed – December 2022 to April 2023

The first phase of the renovation of the forge of the future took place from November 2022 to the end of April 2023, and focused on the ground floor of the building. The flooring, electrical wiring, and amenities were redone. 

The renovation was carried out respecting the history and charm of the place, preserving the original materials and in a sustainable manner.

Second renovation of the Forge of the Future – December 2023 to April 2024

The roof underwent a second renovation which took place from December 2023 to April 2024 .

Third renovation of the Forge of the Future coming soon – December 2024 to April 2025

The heating and air conditioning system will undergo a second renovation, which will take place from December 2024 to April 2025, respecting the best energy standards.
