The Fucina del Futuro, home of SUMus, hosts the Lithuanian Pavilion at the Venice Biennale.

> > SEE YOU IN MAY 2026
From Saturday, May 9, La Fucina del Futuro, home of SUMus, hosts the Lithuanian Pavilion at the Venice Biennale 2026.
The artist Eglė Budvytytė represents Lithuania at the 61st International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia with animism sings anarchy , a new multi-channel film installation.
Shot on 16mm and developed in 4K, the work explores the relationship between the body, landscape, and archaeological memory, drawing inspiration from Marija Gimbutas' research on animistic and matrilineal Neolithic cultures. Set between southeastern Italy, the Grotta Scaloria, and the Apulian coast, the film unfolds as a ritual journey composed of gestures, voices, and altered states of consciousness, in dialogue with ancient ruins and places of worship.
The project is commissioned by the Lithuanian National Museum of Art and is curated by Louise O'Kelly.
📍 Opening to the public: from Saturday, May 9, 2026
📍 La Fucina del Futuro, Calle S. Lorenzo 5063B, Venice
