WORKSHOP: Getting to know yourself better through plants with Mio Takahashi
Friday, April 3, 2026: 3:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. at ABC ZATTERE
(Abc Zattere Arte Bar Cucina, Fondamenta Zattere Ai Gesuati, 1401, 30123 Venezia)
Getting to know yourself better through plants, by getting in touch with the unconscious through a fresh herbal tea.
We will symbolically enter the garden of your heart by choosing the plants that most appeal to you. Through these choices, Mio will interpret and explain the possible meanings of the plants you have selected, creating a moment of listening, intuition, and connection with the plant world, accompanied by a fresh herbal tea prepared together.
Who is Mio Takahashi?
Mio Takahashi is a Japanese herbalist and researcher, currently a doctoral candidate at the Université libre de Bruxelles. Her research explores the relationships between plants and people, at the intersection of environmental anthropology and ethnobotany. She holds a degree in Environmental Humanities from Ca' Foscari University of Venice. She is interested in the humanities of plants and the cultural, social, and ecological significance of human-plant interactions. To date, she has led numerous workshops and courses in Japan and Italy to connect plants and humans through her "plant and people laboratory."
