SUMus becomes Venetian hub for Inner Development Goals (IDGs)
January 2023: Inner Development Goals
SUMus becomes the official hub of the IDGs (Inner Development Goals) like the SDGs (sustainable development goals), the IDGs are an international initiative that advocates the personal development that each of us could do in order to evolve our base of values and therefore our behaviors and lifestyles which are not sustainable for the planet.
The Inner Development Goals is a non-profit organization for inner development. The initiative seeks, gathers and communicates science-based skills and qualities that help us lead useful, sustainable and productive lives.
The Domestic Development Goals framework is fundamental to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
IDGs represent the wisdom of all ages and cultures, collected by the crowd.
No skills or methods were invented in the process. This learning ecosystem is constantly building, constantly evolving and open source: it's about listening, collecting and connecting the dots. It is an ongoing journey of co-creation with many participants.
The main objective is to work with and between organizations. They have great potential to accelerate human growth and collective learning. It is a very effective way to reach many people and achieve systemic change. However, inner development goals add value to everyone in all cultures: individuals, families, organizations, communities, humanity and the planet.
SDIs are based on scientific research, experience and continuous learning.
One of the most important tasks is to communicate the results in a simple and accessible way. The framework and methods of the SDIs must be easy to assimilate, otherwise they will not be used. Our main and favorite topic of conversation is how we create simple and functional everyday magic.
We're much more effective lawyers when we're having fun. This is why the IDGs encourage us to be creative and celebrate our progress in any way possible. Art, music and play are part of the language of IDGs. Just because the topics we discuss are serious doesn't mean they have to be boring.
The framework's 23 skills and qualities should be taken to heart by anyone who wants to get involved in the SDIs.
Think of it as a “staff handbook”. We encourage everyone to talk openly and guide us when we fall short. We are on a journey where we learn and grow together.
Why Sumus is an IDGs Hub: At Sumus, we believe that change starts from within and that by developing our inner skills and capacities, we can create a ripple effect that impacts our communities and beyond. . As the official hub of the Inner Development Goals initiative, we are committed to promoting personal development and empowering individuals to take active action to create a more sustainable, equitable and compassionate world.
