To celebrate the reopening of the Forge of the Future, we invited friendly gathering around fifty Venetian women from diverse backgrounds a sneak peek at our 1000 Donne di Venezia & Women of the World (WOW) project. In the presence of artist Pierre Maraval, renowned for his numerous viral works and his commitment to women's rights, we presented the overarching theme, "We care, We dare," which underpins this artistic project. The aim is to create a wave of sisterhood among Venetian women ready to get involved for a better future for their city, and then to extend this wave of sisterhood to all women worldwide to care for humanity and heal the planet.

The portraits of the women who made up the mural of the 1000 women of Venice were taken by the artist himself in the photo studio located in Piazza an Giacomo da l'Orio at the address S. Croce 1492, Campo son Giacomo da l'orio, 30135 Venice, between May 15 and July 30, 2023. The women co-opted themselves; the only selection criteria were living in Venice, on the Venetian islands or on the mainland, and wanting to contribute to a positive movement of renewal !

The inauguration took place on November 20, 2023, International Children's Rights Day. The event was held from 6:00 PM in Campo San Lorenzo , in collaboration with our partner Ocean Space , who generously provided their venue. The exhibition ran from November 20, 2023, to January 10, 2024, and admission was free for everyone.
